2015-06-02 A major article refuting Fortis’s claims that smart meters are safe

1)   On May 18, 2015 experts met in Paris to discuss environmental sensitivities, concentrating on EHS and chemical sensitivities, which seem to go hand in hand for many people.. This is a long document (88 pages) but well worth reading (and it goes quickly – don’t miss pages 72-73).

2)   In today’s Penticton Herald, there was a guest column by Dr. Malcolm Paterson in which he addresses many of the problems associated with the FortisBC smeter program (all of which apply equally to BC Hydro’s) that resulted in the RDOS resolution asking for a moratorium of the installations in the Okanagan-Similkameen District.  Please share widely.

Dear Mr. X

RE:  Electromagnetic Radiation Devices in Schools

My name is Rita Dawson, I reside on Vancouver Island in the Ladysmith area and I would like to introduce the BC Building Trades to Mr. Jerry Flynn, also an Island resident in the Deep Bay/Bowser area.

Mr. Flynn is a retired Canadian Armed Forces captain who spent 22 of his 26 years in the military in the arcane fields of Electronic Warfare (EW) and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT). At the zenith of his career he was the Executive Officer and Operations Officer at one of Canada’s largest and most sensitive intelligence-gathering radio stations, where for two years he personally directed some 200-plus specially trained radio operators and technicians. Subsequently, he was posted into National Defense Headquarters (NDHQ), Ottawa, into the Directorate of Electronic Warfare (DEW). In this two-year period, Mr. Flynn worked closely with U.S., Canadian and NATO army E.W. units, completed a lengthy NATO army EW officers’ course in Anzio, Italy and participated in a major NATO army EW field exercise in the Black Forest of Germany. Throughout most of his career he worked closely with the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) and, to a lesser extent, with Britain’s GCHQ. Mr. Flynn also conducted EW activities aboard two Canadian warships in exercises with Canadian, U.S. and other international naval units.

Now, well into his retirement Mr. Flynn is, with the wisdom of a respected elder, devoting his time and energies to notifying the BC Liberal government, BC Hydro and Dr. Perry Kendall of the largest single threat to human health in this century – the low-level, pulsed, NON-THERMAL radiation emitted by all of today’s wireless electromagnetic radiating devices including smart meters and Wi-Fi in schools.

As concerned citizens, myself along with Greta Taylor also of the Deep Bay area, are currently contacting unions, school boards, etc., plus your trades group with Mr. Flynn’s most recent letter as addressed to Premier Christy Clark (attached) out of grave concern for school children & staff that are exposed to the hazards of wireless technology on an almost daily basis and whole-heartedly concur with Mr. Flynn’s recommendation, “that Wi-Fi routers, cell phones and cordless phones be removed from all schools, hospitals, public buildings in the province, replacing them with hard-wired alternatives”.

Also, of particular note is the fact that, with all of the associated health risks associated with wireless devices, insurers such as Lloyd’s of London and AVIVA have excluded coverage for claims caused by exposure to non-ionizing radiation.

It is our hope that you will forward this information along to your membership and should you have any questions please feel free to contact either myself or Mr. Flynn at: jerryjgf@shaw.ca.

Yours truly,

Rita Dawson
