2016-11-28 US companies want to eliminate landlines, forcing everyone to get cell phones

1)    I have no idea if this source is credible or not, but it is a hoot to think Putin is warning USA consumers about “$$mart” devices in their homes.

The “genius” of the New World Order surveillance project lies in the fact that “consumers have been conned into paying out of their own pockets for the devices that will spy on them and their families,” Putin said, speaking to a visiting group in the Kremlin.

The average American home is now rigged like a maximum security prison with surveillance in every room recording everything you say and do.””

2)    The US government has given approval for states to allow companies to eliminate landlines, forcing everyone to use cell phones or internet service. As we all know, during prolonged outages this would leave people without any source of contact for emergencies or to family members. The landlines are working well and are far more dependable than wireless service. How would people call a fire department or an ambulance if the power were out and the cell phone’s battery had died? Katie Singer asks for comments and has sent a personal letter which I will include below in Letters.  Even though we are not US citizens, we have an interest – for example the many elderly snowbirds who spend months in the US. Please contribute your concerns before Wed. Nov. 30, 2016. Once it is common in the USA, it will happen here, too.

I made a comment and it is easy. Follow the instructions on the link below, clicking the tabs at the top of the page. When you get to the form on the first line put 16-383 and nothing more.  When you get to the address, hit “international”. The rest is easy.

3)    I would like to encourage all of you to visit our website www.stopsmartmetersbc.com and look at the “CONTACT pages [http://www.stopsmartmetersbc.com/contact/]. There have been some changes which should make it easier for everyone to write to their MPs, MLAs, or every one of them, to the media, etc. We have tried to put every contact most commonly needed.

If you see an important one that you think is missing, that others would like to have available, please let me know.

4)    A member highly recommended this video of a lecture by Olle Johanssen last year. Olle speaks about 25,000 peer-reviewed studies showing harm, EHS and the increase in allergies. I listened to only the first 30 minutes but, as always, Olle is very interesting and has so much important info to share.

Subject: “Sunset” of landlines

Century Link would like to eliminate landlines. On July 14, 2016, the FCC paved the way for the “sunset” of landlines at the federal level. Now, states must enact similar rules. Once these rules pass, only cellular phones and voice over Internet protocols (VOIPs) such as Magic Jack and Skype, will be available.

The FCC has requested Comments about Century Link’s request. Comments are due Wednesday, November 30. Here are directions for submitting a Comment to the FCC: http://www.electronicsilentspring.com/comments-fcc-centurylink/

Please also send your concerns to your state legislators.

My Comment will state that

a) We need landlines for emergency preparedness, since mobile phones and VOIPs do not work during power outages (unless you’ve got industrial strength battery backup).

b) We need landlines because the second anyone goes wireless, they risk interception. Hacking already endangers individuals, schools, banks, the health insurance industry, other businesses and governments. The cost of maintaining software to guard against hacking rises exponentially at a time when budgets are being slashed.

c) We need landlines because the National Inst. of Health’s National Toxicology Program study, released on May 25, 2016, definitively shows that 2G cell phone radiation causes malignant brain and heart tumors and damages DNA. Pregnant women, children, people with medical implants and the infirm deserve the choice of using a corded landline telephone.

The FCC and state legislators have fiduciary responsibilities to protect this choice.

A bill to “sunset” landlines in California, proposed earlier this year, did not pass because legislators received a flood of phone calls and in-person lobbying from common citizens. For more info, visit www.saveladlines.com.  [https://savelandlines.org/]

“An activist is someone who cannot help but fight for something. That person is not usually motivated by a need for power, or money, or fame, but in fact driven slightly mad by some injustice, some cruelty, some unfairness – So much so that he or she is compelled by some moral engine to act to make it better.”
