1) Embassy personnel in China have become ill with symptoms similar to US employees in Cuba.

2) Many wondered if smeters contributed to the wildfires that burned across much of California last year. The report just released said that PG&E was responsible for many of the fires, but there was no mention of smeters. Power lines that were brought down by trees and high winds were blamed.

3) Re. personal internet security, one of our technical members suggested I share his email with you:
“Recently, I was discussing simple steps to improve one’s Internet security – thought it might be a good note for your updates. First, it is important to recognise there is nothing one can do to guarantee internet security. A simple thing that people can do to improve their internet security is to turn off their router when not in use/at night.
When they turn their router back on unless they have a fixed IP address (few have, anyone with one will probably know because they are paying for an extra in their internet bill). The new IP address will have the effect of if one suddenly moved and left no forwarding address. It is best to turn the router off by powering down the power supply as the power supply is one of those switching-mode power units and is responsible for dirty electricity etc. whenever it is plugged in (whether the charger is in use or not). Yes, hackers may have installed a Trojan in the computer which will re-innate the hack but the chances are you will have broken the connection and the hacker will have a difficult time finding you again – easier to hack some other computer than keep chasing you.”
4) Please see a letter I received from someone complaining about interference with her car radio when driving by cell towers. I don’t know if this falls into CRTC’s definition of “interference” but it would not hurt to write to CRTC with complaints. This item from my June 1 update explains the legal requirements re. interference and just might apply.
Cell phones would come under ISED, formerly Industry Canada, rather than CRTC. I have never had anyone tell me about interference from cell towers, so I cannot tell you precisely what you should be doing. First I would read http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/R-2/page-1.html .
Under the Radio Communication Act, it gives this definition:
harmful interference means an adverse effect of electromagnetic energy from any emission, radiation or induction that
(a) endangers the use or functioning of a safety-related radiocommunication system, or
(b) significantly degrades or obstructs, or repeatedly interrupts, the use or functioning of radio apparatus or radio-sensitive equipment; (brouillage préjudiciable)
interference-causing equipment means any device, machinery or equipment, other than radio apparatus, that causes or is capable of causing interference to radiocommunication; (matériel brouilleur)

Dear Sharon:
I have always been super annoyed by the fact that when listening to CBC in the car while driving, the broadcast turns into scrambled static/pulsing whenever I pass cell towers. I had no idea that I could call and refer to the Radio Communication Act – that the cell tower’s transmission was interfering with an existing radio communication signal. Thank you for that link. The good side to my CBC being disrupted is that I can map out in my car where the signals are the strongest, their span and how they relate to the emitting “arms” of the tower. Sadly, I have found that the strongest beams of radiation tend to be directed toward First Nation’s reserve areas (cell tower on Boys Rd, Duncan, visible from the highway, is great example) – coincidence?.
Perhaps if everyone called to complain that towers were interfering with radio broadcasts, we’d get some action – people getting sick and dying doesn’t seem to faze the big telecoms.

As the vast majority of people, including decision makers, remain unaware of the bio-electric nature of life, I am forwarding a science document on the health impacts of EMF’s.
Only recently, this knowledge is being explored in geophysics, biophysics, electrophysiology and medicine.
All creatures and plants on earth function electrically.
For the human body to function, trillions of cells transmit and receive energy, constantly moving nutrients and water onto the cells.
Each type of cell has a frequency range in which it operates.
The brain’s Alpha wave is 7.83 Hz. Earth itself has a frequency of 7.83Hz, called ‘The Schumann Resonance’.
Our heart, brain, muscle, nervous system and blood cells are highly sensitive electrical systems that govern movements and behavior.
Today‘s massive gigahertz frequencies (1 GHz = 1000000000 Hz) completely overpowers the low frequencies and electrical systems of nature. 3, 4 and 5 Gigahertz frequencies are not in harmony with Nature!
Poor health is rapidly on the rise in all developed countries and illnesses are rampant, even among the young. It does not require a medical degree to realize that such a massive increase of electromagnetic radiation will negatively impact all forms of life.
