1) US Intelligence Chiefs warn against allowing China’s Huawei from getting involved with telecommunications. Telus has partnered with this company big time – Huawei transmitters are in the microcells outside our homes. Has Telus invited major hackers into our grid? I would imagine that the same concerns apply to Chinese companies working on other major infrastructure projects such as Site C.

Six top US intelligence chiefs caution against buying Huawei phones
“Six top U.S. intelligence chiefs told the Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday they would not advise Americans to use products or services from Chinese smartphone maker Huawei.
The six — including the heads of the CIA, FBI, NSA and the director of national intelligence — first expressed their distrust of Apple-rival Huawei and fellow Chinese telecom company ZTE in reference to public servants and state agencies.
When prompted during the hearing, all six indicated they would not recommend private citizens use products from the Chinese companies.”
Here is proof of a long-term relationship between Telus and Hauwei. It may not be limited to microcells.
TELUS and Huawei Continue to Lead the Way in Canada’s Journey to 5G with Innovative Small-cell Deployment
“”We are delighted that TELUS continues to deploy Huawei’s innovative small-cell solutions to support their heterogeneous network and achieve data rates exceeding 1 Gbps with the Huawei LampSite solution,” said Ritchie Peng, President of Huawei Small Cell Product Line. “With data rates exceeding 1 Gbps with Huawei’s LampSite Solution, TELUS customers can experience these speeds everywhere thanks to the collaboration and experiential learning in the TELUS 5G Living Lab’.”
Earlier this year, TELUS and Huawei announced the successful live deployment of a 3GPP-oriented network. Since, TELUS has also announced that it has successfully tested other technologies vital to 5G, such as Licensed-Assisted Access (LAA).”
2) Salt Spring Island coach is suffering from a tumor that seems to be increasing in frequency thanks to cell phone usage. This statement is from the recent NTP study.
“Under the conditions of this 2-year whole-body exposure study, there was some evidence of carcinogenic activity of GSM-modulated cell phone RFR at 900 MHz in male Hsd:Sprague Dawley SD rats based on the incidences of malignant schwannoma in the heart. The incidences of adenoma or carcinoma (combined) in the prostate gland, malignant glioma and benign or malignant granular cell tumors in the brain, adenoma of the pars distalis in the pituitary gland, pheochromocytoma (benign, malignant, or complex combined) in the adrenal medulla, and pancreatic islet cell adenoma or carcinoma (combined) may have been related to cell phone RFR exposure. There was no evidence of carcinogenic activity of GSM-modulated cell phone RFR at 900 MHz in female Hsd:Sprague Dawley SD rats administered 1.5, 3, or 6 W/kg. There was some evidence of carcinogenic activity of CDMA- modulated cell phone RFR at 900 MHz in male Hsd:Sprague Dawley SD rats based on the incidences of malignant schwannoma in the heart.
The incidences of malignant glioma in the brain, adenoma of the pars distalis in the pituitary gland, and adenoma or carcinoma (combined) of the liver may have been related to cell phone RFR exposure. There was equivocal evidence of carcinogenic activity of CDMA-modulated cell phone RFR at 900 MHz in female Hsd:Sprague Dawley SD rats based on the incidences of malignant glioma in the brain and pheochromocytoma (benign, malignant, or complex combined) in the adrenal medulla.

3) Landis+Gyr has been trying every approach to make it difficult/impossible for people to read documents about their smeters, even resorting to copyright laws that do not apply. If these things are so safe, so wonderful, why the fear that someone will find out more about them?
Smart Meter Company Landis+Gyr Now Using Copyright To Try To Hide Public Records
“Last week, we received a notice from DocumentCloud — which we use to host various documents as part of our reporting efforts — that it had received a DMCA notice from lawyer Heather McNay of Landis+Gyr, demanding that it take down the copies of those very same public records that we had uploaded as part of our reporting on this story. It seems fairly clear to us that our posting of these public records as part of our reporting and commentary on a dispute created by Landis+Gyr itself was quintessential fair use for news reporting. And, of course, there a number of court rulings in various locations noting that copyright law cannot be used to prohibit the copying of public records (notably, that case involves a very similar situation involving a public records request in Washington State).”
4) Apparently, 5G has been implemented at the Winter Olympics by several companies and athletes have been given wireless devices that use this untested technology.
Stop 5G launch at Winter Olympics in South Korea. Acute public health reactions likely
“Korea Telecom together with Intel and Ericsson are rushing to launch one of the world’s first large-scale experiments with 5G – 5th generation wireless technology – at the Olympics. Special 5G-enabled tablets and mobile devices will be provided at the Olympics, using new beam-forming technologies, that focus radiation from cell tower to user’s device.
Intel and Ericsson both know the public health hazards, and likely, so does Korea Telecom, but the public is being kept in the dark. Over 200 scientists and physicians called for a halt to 5G last year, but they have been ignored.”
A petition has just been started to warn athletes, parents etc. about this new technology. Even though there isn’t much time left, please consider signing it.
5) There are only a couple of media people who are interested at all in the smeter issue, and one is Jim Goddard who interviews me every couple of weeks or so and reaches an audience across North America, perhaps even farther. The links are put on our website as soon as I get them. Yesterday, I spoke with Jim about the BCUC response and perhaps you might find it of interest. It is also an easy way to spread the word with family and friends.

Subject: BCUC does not refute my Fire Report.
Your office received a hand-delivered copy of my Smart Meter Fire Report in early September as the head of the government responsible for BC Hydro, the smart meter program, and the dangers to which the citizens of BC are being exposed. I have yet to receive any response, not even the courtesy of acknowledgement of its receipt.
Finally after 6 months of having “the staff review the information”, BCUC responded to my fire report in which I provided evidence that the smart meters had caused fires, that BC Hydro had broken regulations, that the ITRON meters had not passed certification that included all of the major components, that Len Garis’s paid for report was inaccurate, incomplete and use of it indicated a failure by BCUC to do its job. The response is at the link below and is amazing – BCUC has not refuted one charge I made. From this I can only conclude it is saying that my evidence is correct and that:
1) No agency is tracking fires;
2) Regulations and laws are being broken with impunity, e.g. meters are being removed from the fire scene, electrical inspections are not being done;
3) Reporting is haphazard at best;
4) The meter is combustible, poorly designed, with critical components uncertified by any agency to be safe;
5) BC Hydro did not perform its due diligence by having an independent electrical engineer inspect the meter for safety prior to signing the contract. Rather, it accepted ITRON’s assurances;
6) Smart meters have burned, melted and caused homes to burn. BC Hydro and BCUC both deny this is happening.
Their response indicates that they are willing to turn a blind eye and continue to stonewall us even though lives and property are being put at risk. My read of the response is that no one at BCUC even read the report or certainly they would have at least attempted to respond in a meaningful way.
They do manage to say a few things that are not true. For example, BC Hydro and FortisBC did not provide responses of a technical nature. http://www.stopsmartmetersbc.com/bc-hydro-response-to-bcuc-request-for-comment-on-ms-nobles-correspondence-re-smart-meter-fires-report-october-20-2017/
BC Hydro does remove smart meters from the scene of fires before the fire inspection is done, and often before the fire inspector or BC Safety Authority has arrived. Interesting how they continue to say this when I have provided reports from fire inspectors, BC Safety Authority and even firemen saying that BC Hydro routinely removes the smeter without obtaining the clearance required by law.
BC Hydro told me that they do not inspect any failed meter, rather it is sent back to ITRON immediately for replacement. Again, copies of correspondence from BC Hydro was included in the report.
They emphasize that the meters are compliant with Measurement Canada requirements – which pertain to accuracy only. Safety is not any component of MC’s testing.
ANSI 12’s and UL 2735’s inadequacy are ignored. All smart meters meet these weak standards – all of the smart meters that have been involved in fires meet these standards.
UL’s protocol 2735 for certification DOES NOT include the remote disconnect switch. And I have asked several times for the results of the tests done by the NEETRAC and BC Hydro has refused to provide. How do we know that the testing was successful? Why won’t they share the positive results of the tests for the component that has been involved/caused so many fires?
All of these statements by BCUC are contrary to the evidence that I provided in my report. They didn’t care enough to look beyond what BC Hydro has told them.
Obviously I could go on and on. The response is filled with junk, but basically it does not refute a thing I’ve said. These meters have caused fires and will continue to cause fires. They should be recalled from our homes and it will be only through our loud and continued demand that these be removed, that the Clean Energy Act be changed, that changes will be made.
No one is looking out for our safety, that is clear. Shameful.
BCUC 51374 – BCUC Response Letter L-3-18 – February 14, 2018:
Premier Horgan, you, Minister Mungall, and Minister Trevena are neglecting to take this very issue seriously, to the detriment of your constituents and to your own political reputation. Should it be proven that someone died as a result of a smart meter, might there be legal consequences that would involve you? Might you be charged with negligence since you had the information and chose to ignore it?
Sincerely and respectfully,
Letters sent by X to Horgan, Dix, Mungall and Trevena. [http://www.stopsmartmetersbc.com/z/bc-contact-e-mail-lists/]
Dear honourable members:
I am concerned and wondering why, after approximately 6 months time, there is still no response from you worthies to the Report from Sharon Noble on the fire hazards of smart meters. Of course there are many other concerns — invasion of privacy, lack of security, emission of EMF which is a probably [sic] carcinogen, etc. I left my hometown to relocate to a more remote area where I would be free from neighbouring Wi-Fi, wireless water meters, smart meters and the proposed wireless gas meters; I moved to a home with an analog meter, which I locked up and began extensive legal procedures to keep it, including procedures to pay the illegal extortion fee to avoid a smart meter — all to no avail, as after a few years and much pay-out, my analog meter was declared ‘expired’ (despite no testing of it) and I was given the option of accepting a smart meter or having my power cut off. In a democratic society, this was and is hard to believe and totally unacceptable, but we are living in unsavoury times. I continue to pay an exorbitant extortion fee to avoid a transmitting smart meter.
Back to the Fire Report: as I now live in an area outside any fire protection, it seems my decision to move from an EMF proliferated environment has put us into a different zone of danger, due to the smart meter. As a BC resident relying on my elected officials and offices of government to use their powers wisely and in protection of these residents, I respectfully request that you read Sharon Noble’s report, investigate her facts or at least respect the years of investigation she has done and apply those against the actions (or inactions) and mis-statements provided by BC Hydro. Surely there is someone in power with a conscience?
