2) In the USA, telecoms have strong lobbies that result in laws and regulations that favor the corporations over municipal and individual concerns. No doubt the same holds true in Canada. How else would we be seeing microcells outside our front doors, cell towers in school yards and on hospitals?
We must become more aggressive in our opposition – writing letters is vital, but we need to devote time and energy to showing our displeasure. In places in the USA where people have been willing to sit outside offices for days on end, picket their representatives, etc., results have been seen. Polite Canadians should be doing this, too.

“…within the last year or so, there have also already been bills passed in many states that allow telecom companies to put 5G small cell tower infrastructure pretty much wherever they want. This includes in front of homes, in public rights of ways, in historical districts. Municipal governments, organizations, and private citizens have been fighting to overturn these state bills.
In the meantime, there are also over 50 federal bills still being discussed which if passed will also eliminate municipal control over 5G small cell tower infrastructure.
Even if you aren’t concerned about potential health risks from this infrastructure, it will lower your property value if it’s installed near your home.
These state and federal bills are not getting nearly the amount of media attention as the net neutrality debate and decision.

“Greetings dedicated StopSmartMeters people!
2 years ago, I had a neutral wire inexplicably melt at the Hydro pole out front of my house.
The absence of the neutral caused extensive damage inside the house, destroying wiring, electric motors, computer stuff, kitchen gadgets, etc…
I called the fire department because I had no idea what was happening but smoke all over the house.
BC Hydro came out and repaired the wire that had burned and the tech told me that this happens quite often but BC Hydro will accept responsibility and when I assess the damage to send in a claim.
Long story short, BC HYDRO said it was the fault of trees, not theirs, so they would not pay a nickel.
I can tell you this incident has caused me a lot of grief, personal loss and insult to boot…
I am no fan of BC Hydro (and still paying the $65.00 extortion fee to keep our old meter).”

Please don’t install Wi-Fi in any rest areas or any public places because well-known scientists like Dr. Olle Johansson, who was on the WHO board that classified the electromagnetic frequency radiation (emf) emitted from Wi-Fi and other wireless devices, tell us that emf is probably carcinogenic and should be upgraded from “possibly”.
It’s bad enough that we British Columbians have been forced to accept wireless smart meters on our houses, but when we want to get away from as much of this pollution as possible when on vacation, the idea that we’ll be exposed to more of it in rest stops just boggles the mind. Will there be no evading this in our future?
If Wi-Fi is installed at rest stops, I’ll have to avoid stopping at the ones that have them. You really should investigate this yourself. Google Olle Johansson, he’s a wonderful man who has nothing to gain from his research. Indeed, he has risked his career from promulgating what he’s learned. In fact, the people running WHO have escorted Professor Johansson out of his office and position because he won’t toe the line and agree that emf is not as bad as he and other researchers have found.
