1) In last night’s update, I provided an article from the National Post re. Auditor General petitions re. EMR/wireless devices/ Health Canada, etc. and I encouraged you to make comments on the article itself or to write the author. Below is an excellent letter from one of our members which, hopefully, will encourage more letters to be sent to encourage more such articles and to help educate her on the topic.

I hope some of you will consider submitting your own petition. We have so many issues to address, so many concerns that are being ignored. We may not get all the answers, but we will draw attention to the fact that people are aware of the problems and are concerned.

3) As long ago as 1973, people in the Canadian government were concerned about the future proliferation of devices that would emit microwave radiation and recommended research to determine if there was a safe level and what it might be. Your recent article in the National Post on cell phone radiation is very much appreciated. The reason most people are not aware of the adverse health effects of wireless technology, is the general lack of media coverage regarding this growing health concern.

* The telecom industry does anything in its power to discredit scientists who do not endorse their products as safe.
The huge telecom lobby attempted to discredit Dr. George Carlo, who led a multimillion dollar cell phone research project, involving over 200 international scientists in the 90ties. After 5 years of cell phone research, it became evident that prolonged cell phone use triggers adverse and irreversible biological damage. Dr. Carlo refused to bend to their bribes and pressure tactics! At the time, 1/2 hour cell phone use, was considered ‘heavy use’.
